Skillet Hamburger Stroganoff

Try this Skillet Hamburger Stroganoff made with healthier ingredients for the perfect family dinner!


Heat a large skillet with olive oil over medium-high heat. Brown the ground beef while breaking it up with a wooden spoon and season with salt and pepper.  After about 5 minutes place the meat in a holding dish.

In the same skillet over medium heat, sauté the sliced mushrooms for about 8-10 minutes. Then add them to the holding dish.

Add more olive oil, along with the diced carrots and onions in the same skillet.  Then stir in the paprika and sauté for about 10 minutes.

Next, fold in the tomato paste with the vegetables and cook for about 3 minutes over medium-high heat.

Stir in the broth, Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer.

Add the pasta to the skillet and follow package directions.

When the pasta is cooked, add the browned hamburger and mushroom back to the skillet.

Add chopped parsley to the skillet and stir in the low-fat cream cheese. 

Add in the reduced-fat sour cream.  Stir all together and serve!
