Using an air fryer is an easy way to make other great recipes like crispy breakfast potatoes, air fryer hash browns, and even turkey burgers in the air fryer.  Besides being a great way to heat up leftover pizza, it has truly been a game changer in how we prepare these comfort foods.

I grew up making deep-fried corn dogs in a fry daddy. Boy, does that seem like a million years ago! Thank goodness times have changed, and air frying is now a thing. Now, this is the best way to make this easy snack and comfort food.

What You Need to Make Air Fryer Corn Dogs

Corn Dogs: These are a delicious and satisfying snack. They are essentially hot dogs coated in a cornmeal batter and are perfect for a quick meal or easy dinner.

You can use store-bought ones for convenience like I did, or you can make your own at home. Corn dog bites and frozen mini corn dogs can be used instead for this delicious corn dogs recipe.

Cooking spray or oil for greasing (optional): Greasing the air fryer basket or rack helps prevent food from sticking during cooking and promotes even browning.

Though this step is optional, it ensures that your corn dogs come out perfectly crispy without any sticking issues. Using special parchment paper liners designed for these machines will also help prevent sticking without having to add extra oil.

For best results, be sure to preheat your air fryer to 400° F. This will only take a couple of minutes but the extra time is worth it when making air fryer corn dogs.

Some corn dogs in an air fryer basket.

This is a good rule to follow whenever you are making or reheating food in one of these. While it is preheating, you can apply some non-stick cooking spray to the basket or rack of your machine.

Once it reaches 400°, you can put the frozen corn dogs in the air fryer. These should take a total of 7 to 10 minutes to make, Air fryer cook time can vary between different air fryers.

Be sure to note that the exact cooking time can depend on the different sizes of corn dogs. Mini-sized corn dogs may take a little less time than full-sized ones.

Recipe Tip

Be sure to flip these air fryer corn dogs halfway through cooking. This helps make sure they are evenly done on both sides.
